Running Log - Creating and Managing Logs

feed_40dp_666666.png Overview

The Running Log is where you can record and review readings that need to be tracked while the vessel is underway, such as running hours, temperatures, pressures, and more. Each set of readings follows the same Group/Subgroup/Reading structure configured in the Running Log Utility, and readings are grouped by the day they were recorded.

  1. Open the day you'd like to record a Running Log entry for by clicking it in the grid.

  2. Click + New Reading in the toolbar.

  3. The time is auto-populated, adjust it if needed.

  4. Use the Expand All button, or manually expand the Groups and Subgroups, to enter a value for each parameter.

  5. Click Save to record the reading.

  6. The Running Log entry values you entered will appear as a new column for the selected date.

Note: If readings have already been recorded for the selected day, the most recent values and the time they were recorded will be displayed alongside each parameter. This allows you to quickly identify any substantial changes while entering the new readings.

Rather than typing every value manually, you can poll data from the AMCS monitoring system to automatically populate readings.

  1. Click the Poll AMCS icon in the top right corner of the reading screen, next to Save.

  2. The system fetches live values from AMCS and fills in any linked fields automatically.

Note:

  • An AMCS integration is required, and Running Log parameters need to be mapped to their corresponding AMCS Tag.

  • Readings not mapped to a tag require manual entry.

Important: Polling doesn't save the data, it only populates it for you. It is the users responsibility to review that the data has been populated correctly before clicking Save.

  1. Click directly on a day's date in the Running Logs list to open that day's detail view.

  2. Click Export in the toolbar to download all of the selected day's readings to Excel.

From the list of days, you can export data from multiple days at once instead of opening them individually.

  1. Tick the checkbox next to each day you want to include.

  2. Click Export in the top toolbar to download.

Click TRENDING in the top toolbar of the Running Logs list to open the separate Running Log Trending page, where you can select parameters from the tree and chart their historical values over a date range.
